Tyson & Ronald McDonald House Charities Ride For Sick Kids

In September, Tyson Nicholson joined the Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia Ride for Sick Kids, Northern NSW team. A group of around 30 riders cycled 535km from Inverell to Newcastle to raise much-needed funds.

Together, their aim was to raise $200,000 to help sick kids and their families. These vital funds give families a “home away from home” so they can be near their sick or injured child in hospital.

Tyson spent one Christmas at Ronald McDonald House and holds this amazing charity close to his heart. When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, it can have a devastating impact on families. As well as the uncertainty and fear, there’s added stress for families who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs.
