Acreage Spring 2019 Market Report

The expected softening of the market in 2019 saw fewer acreage sales across Lake Macquarie and the Central Coast than last year, but prices remaining strong.

The settling of the dust from the federal election and Royal Commission added to low interest rates, relaxed lending criteria and economic policy designed to encourage property purchasing is bringing more people into the market.

With first home buyers increasing in both confidence and numbers, this is giving our mid-range owners the opportunity to move into their dream lifestyle properties.

We anticipate this will mean a strong start to the acreage market in the new year and expect buyer enthusiasm to continue well into 2020.

When combined with realistic vendors, this will result in a fair bit of upward momentum within the area.
